O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to file a Final Report in Crime No. 513 of 2021 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 447, 427, 294(b), 506(2) of IPC (equivalent offences u/s 191(2), 191(3), 329(3), 324(4), 296(b), 351(3) of BNS, 2023) on the file of Respondent Police within stipulated time in accordance with law.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the Chairman of the temple, namely, Sri Arulmigu Pichaikalan Swami Temple and the said temple is a private temple, which was maintained by the petitioner's family members. The entrance of the said temple is situated on the north side and the land where the entrance of the said temple is situated belongs to Thiruvaduthurai Aatheenam and for using the said pathway, the petitioner and his family members are paying Page No. 2 of 5

tax to the said Aatheenam. In the meanwhile, on 25.11.2021, the first accused, namely, Muthulingam, came to the said temple and got into fight with the petitioner while they were building an arch in the north entrance, for which the petitioner had preferred a complaint before the respondent police in CSR No.785 of 2021. Thereafter, on 28.11.2021, at about 3.30 a.m., due to previous motive, the accused persons arrived to the place of occurrence in 5 cars bearing Register Nos.TN 74 AR 4444, TN 63 AZ 2727, TN 74 AP 4491, TN 74 P 7768 and a Bolero car and damaged 2focus lights, 10 chairs and attacked the persons who were sleeping near the temple by throwing stones. When the petitioner came to know about the occurrence, the accused persons threatened the petitioner by showing the weapons to the petitioner who arrived to the place of occurrence with dire consequences. Hence, the case.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, submitted that the investigation has already been completed and the final report will be filed within fifteen days.

4. In view of the same, this Court directs the respondent police to file the final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate within a period of Page No. 3 of 5
