O R D E R

The petitioners' husband and father, respectively, was a cultivating tenant of the lands of the Palani Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swami Thirukovil. In relation to the said tenancy, the second petitioner's father had filed a petition under Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Lands Record of Tenancy Rights, 1969, before the second respondent to record his name as a cultivating tenant. Thereafter, the said petition was allowed on 04.02.1980. After the death of the second petitioner's father, the petitioners made an application before the second respondent to register their names in the Tenancy Register in place of the deceased husband and father, respectively. The said application was rejected on 20.08.2024. Appeal No.11 of 2024, which was filed against such order, was allowed on 29.01.2025. The present request has been made in the said facts and circumstances.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no revision has been filed to his knowledge against the order dated 29.01.2025. Therefore, he submits that the petitioners are entitled to the relief claimed.

3. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for both the respondents. He submits that the petitioners' request would be considered after verifying whether a revision has been filed against the order dated 29.01.2025.

4. By taking note of the submissions of learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to register the petitioners' names in the Tenancy Register on the basis of the order dated 29.01.2025 in Appeal No.11 of 2024, unless such order has been reversed in revision proceedings. This shall be done within six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. W.M.P.(MD) No.27380 of 2025 is allowed.
