ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay the petitioner interest at the rate of 6% per annum, for the period of delay from 01.02.2024 to 24.08.2025, in paying the amounts paid towards his terminal and pension benefits namely EPF Employees Contribution, Gratuity, Encashment of Leaves / Already Surrendered Earned Leaves and Commutated Value of Pension, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law. 2/4

3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated terminal and pension benefits payable to the petitioner from the date of his entitlement till the date of his payment within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
