2.The writ petitioner is a tenant under the fourth respondent / temple. He committed default in paying the rent. The default amounts ran into a humongous figure. Hence, eviction order was obtained against the writ petitioner. The writ petitioner was sought to be dispossessed today ie., 28.11.2025. At this stage, to show his bonafides, the writ petitioner paid a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- by way of demand draft drawn in favour of the fourth respondent / temple. Since the writ petitioner has shown his bonafides, the eviction proceedings initiated against the writ petitioner shall be put on hold and kept in abeyance till the Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Chennai disposes of the revision petition filed by him.

If the writ petitioner clears the balance liability and continues to pay the rent from the coming month onwards, I am certain that the Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Chennai will take a favourable view of the situation. If the petitioner fails to clear the balance liability, certainly, the indulgence and discretion of the Commissioner will not be exercised in favour of the writ petitioner.
