O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.K. ILANTHIRAIYAN,J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents 1 to 3 to produce the body or person of the detenu namely Nanthini, D/o.Prabhu, aged about 17 years from the illegal custody of the fourth respondent before this Court and handover the custody to the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. The detenu is aged about 17 years on the date of missing. The petitioner lodged a complaint and the same has been registered by the third respondent police in Cr.No.298 of 2025 under 'Girl Missing'. During the investigation, the detenu herself came from Chennai and appeared before the third respondent police and the third respondent police produced the detenu before this Court today.

3. We enquired the detenu. She stated that she was under compulsion to marry and as such, she herself went to Chennai. Now she wants to go with the petitioner. The petitioner also deposed before this Court that she will not compel her for marriage and she has taken custody of the detenu.

4. Recording the above statement, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
