O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to conduct an enquiry on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025, regarding the wrongful inclusion of the names of Aandichi, Puthusigamani and Poovalingam in Patta No.1317 in respect of Survey No.33/2A14C1, situated at Kalikappan Village, II Bit, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District and consequently to issue patta in the name of the petitioner and the petitioner's father within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property in Survey No.33/2A14C1, situated at Kalikappan Village, II Bit, Madurai East Page No. 2 of 5

Taluk, Madurai District, belongs to the petitioner and his father. The names of Aandichi, Puthusigamani and Poovalingam were wrongly included in Patta No.1317 in respect of the said land in Survey No. 33/2A14C1. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 24.09.2025 seeking removal of their names from the patta, on receipt of which the second respondent initiated proceedings in O.Mu.No. 7419/2025/A4 dated 06.10.2025. Thereafter, no further action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a period of eight weeks.

Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date Page No. 3 of 5

of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by the decision.
