O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.] This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's reply dated 22.08.2025, which was made in response to the show cause notice.

2. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the reply of the petitioner has been considered by the respondents and it has been rejected. Subsequently, charges, under Section 17(b) of Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, have been framed against the petitioner on 29.01.2026 and it has also been served on the petitioner on 30.01.2026 and the petitioner has been granted 21 days time to submit his explanation to the charge memo.

3. In view of the above submission, nothing survives for consideration in this writ petition.

4. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that some more time may be granted to the petitioner to submit his explanation to the charge memo.

5. Considering the fact the petitioner has not given his explanation to the charge memo pending outcome of this writ petition, we grant time to the petitioner till 03.03.2026 to respond to the charge memo.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
