Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned notice dated 15.11.2025 issued by the 3rd respondent, quash the same as illegal insofar as the petitioners' lands are concerned as mentioned in Sl.No. 18, 23 and 24 of the annexure along with the impugned notice.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 4. 2.The third respondent herein had issued the impugned eviction notice to the writ petitioners. The case of the petitioners is that the subject property is actually a patta land and not a water body. According to them, a mistake crept in during UDR and the authorities are taking 2/6

advantage of the same. Since the UDR mistake can be corrected only by the jurisdictional District Revenue Officer, the petitioner has also filed a review petition before him. The petitioner had approached the fourth respondent on 10.10.2025.

3.We direct the fourth respondent to dispose of the petitioners' revision petition on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The impugned notice shall be put on hold for a period of ten weeks. In other words, the impugned proceedings will abide by the order to be passed by the fifth respondent on the writ petitioners' revision petition. We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter. 4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
