ORDER

The above writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus direct the respondent to activate the petitioner's saving bank account bearing No.32390189220 except to the lien amount Rs.15,000/- by considering petitioners representation dated 11.12.2025 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Honble Court and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice."

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, due to some information received from the police, the respondent bank has imposed lien over the entire account. She further submits that even as per the secret information received from the police, lien cannot be exceed Rs.15,000/-

3. The learned counsel for the respondent bank would submit that they would lift the ban with regard to the remaining amount and they will restrict the lien to Rs.15,000/-.

4. In view of the above said facts, the writ petition stands allowed to an extent that the lien of the bank shall be restricted to a sum of Rs.15,000/- and the petitioner may be permitted to operate the account for the remaining amount. No costs.
