Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 3 and 4 to transfer the Petitioner from the post of Office Superintendent at 1/4

Chennai to any of the vacant posts of Office Superintendent in the Madurai Region on spouse-ground transfer, in the light of Government Letter No. 9999/S/99-1 dated 12.02.1999 and G.O.Ms.No.930, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, dated 26.07.1977, based on the Petitioner's representations dated 29.08.2025 and 21.11.2025, within a time to be stipulated by this Court, and pass such other or further orders as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the Respondents 3 and 4 to transfer the Petitioner from the post of Office Superintendent at Chennai to any of the vacant posts of Office Superintendent in the Madurai Region on spouse-ground transfer, in the light of Government Letter No. 9999/S/99-1 dated 12.02.1999 and G.O.Ms.No.930, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, dated 26.07.1977, based on the Petitioner's representations dated 29.08.2025 and 21.11.2025 2/4

2. Even though the petitioner has sought for a positive Mandamus, it is seen that the petitioner has made a representations on 29.08.2025 & 21.11.2025 respectively for the very same relief. 3.In view of the same, the 3rd & 4th respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 29.08.2025 & 21.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
