Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to issue passport to the petitioner in Application No. TR2065590788425 submitted on 31.08.2025 without insisting for second police verification, within the period as stipulated by this Honble Court and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice. ORDER

The above writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to issue passport to the petitioner in Application No. TR2065590788425 submitted on 31.08.2025 without insisting for second police verification, within the period as stipulated by this Honble Court and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice."

2. Mr.R.M.Arun Swaminathan, learned Central Government Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Mr.S.Prakash, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the 3rd respondent.

3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.Prakash, learned Government Advocate appearing for the 3rd respondent on instructions would submit that there is no adverse report against the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that there is no impediment now in the form of criminal complaint or otherwise against the petitioner, it is open to the 1st respondent to process the petitioner's application and issue passport. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
