This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to settle interest at the rate of 6% per annum to the petitioners for the belated payment of refund of contributions made to "Post Retirement Benefit Scheme" amount from the date of their retirement to till the date of disbursement.

2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law.

3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondent is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated payment of refund of contributions made to "Post Retirement Benefit Scheme" amount payable to the petitioners from the date of their entitlement till the date of their payment within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
