ORDER: The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police 1/4

for the offences punishable under Sections 103(1), 189(2), 140(2), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1) and 238 of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.87 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that A1 and A2 took the deceased on their two wheeler and threatened him demanding money. Later he was found dead at the seashore of Thinaikulam Nadar Kudiyiruppu. Hence, the case was altered from 194 BNS to 103(1) of BNS. During investigation, Al had confessed that he along with 10 other accused attacked the deceased and as a result, the deceased was found dead in the next morning. Hence, the apprehension of arrest. Hence, a case has been registered as against the petitioner.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has surrendered and has been remanded.

4. Taking into consideration of the fact that the petitioner has been remanded, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner at this stage.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 6.However, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner is seeking liberty to file a bail petition. This Court is not inclined to grant liberty regarding the same.
