ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to take necessary action against the 2nd and 3rd respondents and to return the petitioner's money based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.10.2025 submitted to the 1st respondent by registered post, due within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. This writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, after dispensing with the notice on the private respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the 2nd and 3rd respondents promised to secure a Government job for the petitioner and demanded a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs only) for the same. After receiving the said amount, the 2nd and 3rd respondents neither arranged a Government job for the petitioner nor returned the money. On coming to know that the 2nd and 3rd respondents had cheated him, the petitioner approached the 1st respondent police by filing a complaint, seeking appropriate action against the 2nd and 3rd respondents. However, the complaint has not been considered till date. Hence, the present petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and have perused the materials available on record.

It is needless to point out that whenever a representation of this nature is made to a Statutory Authority, there is a duty cast upon the respondent to consider the same on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in one way or other instead of keeping the same pending indefinitely. As such, nonconsideration of the representation made by the Statutory Authority would amount to dereliction of duty and hence, this Court will be justified in invoking the extraordinary powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

Without going into the merits of this case, this Court hereby direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
