ORDER
The above writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to directing the respondents to transfer the Agricultural Electricity Service Connection pertaining to Survey No.40/1A2, presently standing in the name of petitioner s father, Periyannan, in favour of the petitioner, based on the representations dated 12.01.2023, 30.07.2024, 31.10.2024, 25.01.2025, and 12.02.2025, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Honble Court and pass such further or other orders as this honourable court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the above case and thus render justice."
2. Mr.S.Deenadhaylan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The brief facts as set out in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition reads as under:- The land in S.No.40/1 situated at Perattukottai Group, Perattukottai Village, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District originally belonged to the petitioner's grand father namely S.Periayya. The said S.Periayya had cultivated the subject land and had also obtained free electricity service connection to the subject property vide SC.No.1, after paying security deposit to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board as early as on 27.12.1965 and 17.03.1986. Thereafter, he sold the portion of the land in S.No.40/1. Consequently, S.No.40/1 was subdivided into S.No.40/1A and S.No.40/1B and the same was transferred in favour his sons namely Chandran and Periyannan/the petitioner's father.

The portion of the said land, where the free agricultural electricity was attached were allotted in favour of the petitioner's father namely Periyannan and the same was further subdivided and assigned as S.No.40/1A2. The patta for the said land has also mutated in the name of the petitioner in Patta No.2284, however, the electricity connection still stands in the name of the petitioner's father. Therefore, the petitioner had sent several representations to the respondents but the same was not considered.
6. Thereafter, once again the petitioner had sent a detailed representations on 25.01.2025 and 12.02.2025, however, no steps had been taken to date. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court.
7. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the representations submitted by the petitioner dated 25.01.2025 and 12.02.2025, will be considered and orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 25.01.2025 and 12.02.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
9. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
