ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to take appropriate action on the petitioner's complaints dated 15.11.2025 and 24.11.2025 with respect to misappropriation of jewellery.

2. Mr.A.S.Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, submitted that the enquiry has been duly conducted and concluded on 14.10.2025, and has placed before me the statement of the petitioner, namely M.Shahitha Beevi, for my perusal.

3. Mr.R.Maheswaran, learned counsel for the the petitioner, placed before me the information obtained under Right to Information Act, in which the petitioner had given a statement before the Sub Inspector of Police, Manavalakurichi Police Station, Kanyakumari District, wherein she had acknowledged that the proposed accused had agreed to hand over the jewellery on 15.10.2025. However, the same was not done by the proposed accused. Despite the same, the police has closed the enquiry.

4. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to reopen the enquiry and conclude the investigation in the manner known to law as 2/4

expeditiously as possible within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
