ORDER
The Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.534 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent Police, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 288, 296(b), 351(2) of BNS, 2023.

The gist of the allegation in the impugned FIR is that the petitioner, on account of the dispute in connection with bursting the crackers in front of the defacto complainant's house, had abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and threatened her of dire consequences and thus committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioner and the second respondent have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo, dated 26.11.2025.
4. The petitioner and the second respondent, namely, Gloryintha Naitingale (Aadhaar No.8528 5427 9471) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.M.Chandiran, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Veeravanallur Police Station, Tirunelveli District. All the parties 2/5
confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

In view of the same, considering the nature of the offences and since the dispute is private in nature, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.534 of 2025 dated 27.10.2025 are quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo, dated 26.11.2025 shall form part of this order. The petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
