ORDER

This writ petition is filed for Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 & 3 to forthwith submit their Action Taken Report before the 1st respondent in response to the 1st Respondent's letters dated 18.03.2025 and 03.04.2025, for inquiring into the petitioner's complaint under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, registered as Crime No.522 of 2019 on the file of the 4th respondent. 2/6

2. Since the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Palani, Dindigul District, is a necessary party to this case, this Court has suo motu impleaded him as the 5th respondent.

3. The petitioner had preferred a complaint, pursuant to which an enquiry was conducted by the respondent police, and the same was closed as a mistake of fact. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed a petition before the 1st respondent herein. The 1st respondent issued letters dated 18.03.2025 and 03.04.2025 for enquiring into the petitioner's complaint. However, there has been no response from respondents 2 to 4.

4. Considering the facts of the case, the 5th respondent,/the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Palani, Dindigul District, is directed to conduct an enquiry and submit a report before the 1st respondent within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

5. With these directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 05.12.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes KSA 4/6
