O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to survey the petitioner's lands measuring 0.19.13 Ares in Survey No.26/8, situated at Varichiyur Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District and to demarcate the four boundaries by considering the petitioner's application dated 24.09.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Both parties are present and by considering their arguments, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. The brief facts of the case is that the petitioner and his sister were given inherited property in question, after the death of the father of the petitioner. However, the sister of the petitioner has executed a release deed dated 17.04.2024 relinquishing her rights over the property in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application on 24.09.2025 for conducting survey and demarcating the boundaries. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent seeks twelve weeks time to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner in accordance with law.

5. Considering the said undertaking given by the respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to conclude the process of demarcation of the land in question, after following due procedure as contemplated under Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
