ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the final report in S.C.No.388 of 2022 on the file of the Sessions Mahila Court, Madurai.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that this matter is a case of harassment of women and moreover, the defacto complainant's daughter Rajathi had succumbed to death by self immolation. Hence, the offenses were altered into Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 306 & 109 of IPC r/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. Dying declaration has also been obtained from the deceased Rajathi. All the petitioners herein had together harassed the deceased to such an extent that she had self immolated herself.

3. In view of the same, I do not find any necessity to quash S.C.No.388 of 2022 on the file of the Sessions Mahila Court, Madurai. The petitioners herein are directed to to face the trial. The appearance of 2/4

the 3rd petitioner is dispensed with unless the Trial Court requires their presence specifically.
