ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner appears to be a single parent. Her son is studying in a private school. The petitioner's son was born on 12.11.2010. Though the birth was duly registered, the name column was left blank. The petitioner now wants her son's name to be incorporated in the birth register so that he can take part in the forthcoming board examinations.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel pointed out that the petitioner had failed to submit an application for incorporating her son's name within 15 years. That apart, the petitioner has to submit a formal application. 4.Considering the fact that the interest of child is involved, the respondent is directed to process the writ petitioner's application. It appears that the writ petitioner has so far only given a representation. She has to submit a formal application.
