ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking to quash the first Information Report in Crime No.160 of 2025, on the file of the first respondent Police, which was registered for the offences under Sections 296(B), 125, 126(2), 351(3) of BNS r/w. Section 3 of TNPPDL Act, and thereafter alter into under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 125, 324(4) and 351(3) B.N.S

2. The gist of the allegations is that the de facto complainant is an ex-service man and currently, working as a Distributor in Vihan Direct Selling Company. While so, on 10.11.2025, the complainant went together with his friends to purchase a new car for his friend. At that time, around 8.55 pm, four unknown persons from the white color swift car intercepted the de facto complainant and attacked the de facto complainant's car with sickle and further threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, the present complaint.

3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent are residing in the same village and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 15.12.2025.

4. The petitioners and the second respondent / defacto complainant are present before this Court in person. They are identified by the A.Murthy, SSI, Karuppayoorani Police Station, Madurai District. The defacto complainant does not wish to pursue the said F.I.R as against the petitioners. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5.Considering the nature of the allegations and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.160 of 2025 is quashed in entirety and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The petitioners shall deposit a sum of Rs.1,000/-(Rupees One Thousand only) 3/6

each for establishing an E-Library to the credit of the MBHAA, in Indian Bank, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court Branch, Account No. 496038755 IFSC No.IDIB000H040, MICR Code: 625019020, within a period of one week from today, failing which the Criminal Original Petition shall stand automatically dismissed. The joint compromise memo dated 15.12.2025 shall form part and parcel of this order. 6.The petitioners are directed to file a memo along with the photocopy of the receipt before the Registry on or before 31.12.2025.
