ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue a patta in favour of the petitioners for the land in S.F.No.356, measuring an extent of 3 acres, situated at Pillaiyarpalayam Village, Krishnarayapuram Taluk, Karur District, based on the petitioners' representations dated 07.11.2022, 09.05.2023, 21.06.2023 and 21.10.2024, within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioners, they are entitled to issuance of a patta in respect of the land comprised in S.F.No.356, measuring an extent of 3 acres, situated at Pillaiyarpalayam Village, Krishnarayapuram Taluk, Karur District. The petitioners have submitted representations dated 07.11.2022, 09.05.2023, 21.06.2023 and 21.10.2024 to the respondents requesting issuance of patta, but no action has been taken till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioners' representations will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners, dated 07.11.2022, 09.05.2023, 21.06.2023 and 21.10.2024, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioners, as well as all other persons, who may be interested in the subject matter, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.
