ORDER
The petitioner, seeking a death certificate for his great grandmother, has submitted an application before the respondents and also filed a writ petition before this Court in W.P.(MD)No.15979 of 2025. This Court, by its order dated 13.06.2025, disposed of the writ petition, with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders within six weeks. However, the second respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Thanjavur, by order dated 31.10.2025, rejected the request of the petitioner. Challenging the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.K.Balasubramanian, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the petitioner has filed a similar application before the respondents, seeking death certificate for his great grandfather and the same was rejected by the 2nd respondent, by order dated 31.10.2025. Challenging the same, the petitioner has also filed a writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.34950 of 2025 and the same was dismissed by this Court, by order dated 03.12.2025, granting liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedy by approaching the civil forum.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner, by referring to the earlier order of this Court dated 03.12.2025, submits that this Court, while dismissing the writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.34950 of 2025, has issued a direction that in the event, if any suit is filed by the petitioner, it needs to be disposed of within a reasonable time.
4. Since the relief has already been granted to the petitioner in the similar writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.34950 of 2025, questioning the 3/5
denial of death certificate for his great grandfather, this writ petition is disposed of on the same terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
