ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to take necessary action on the petitioner's complaint dated 17.11.2025, as per the law declared by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Lalitha Kumari vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and Others reported in 2013 (6) CTC 353.

It is the case of the petitioner that, due to a family dispute relating to land, on 16.11.2025 at about 3.00 p.m., the petitioner's husband, her in-laws, and one Pooma along with her boyfriend broke open the door of the petitioner's house, trespassed into the premises, and threw out her household articles. When the petitioner questioned the same, they abused her in filthy language, assaulted her, and criminally intimidated her.

3. It is the further contention of the petitioner that, as she did not provide the dowry demanded by her husband's family, they are now attempting to grab the house in which the petitioner resides. With regard to the said incident, the petitioner lodged a detailed complaint before the 1st respondent on 17.11.2025; however, no action has been taken thereon. Hence, the present petition. 2/5

4. Mr.S.S.Manoj, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), submitted that the petitioner is not cooperating with the enquiry and that if she cooperates with the police authorities, they will duly conclude the enquiry.

5. Heard the learned counsel on either side, and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above, this Court hereby directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 17.11.2025 and deal with in accordance with law and conclude the enquiry within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to co-operate with the enquiry to be conducted by the 2nd respondent.
