O R D E R
This Civil Revision Petition seeks for expeditious disposal of O.S.No.164 of 2020.
2. By an order dated 02.03.2026, I had called for a report from the learned District Munsif at Thanjavur, as to how long it would take to conclude the trial in the proceedings. The learned District Munsif, 1/4
Thanjavur has reported that two applications are pending under Order III Rules 1 & 2 of the Code of Civil Procedure. She states that the proceedings are at the stage of enquiry.
3. The learned District Munsif is reminded of the position of law laid down by this Court that, an application under Order III Rules 1 & 2 namely, one seeking for an appointment of a Power of Attorney to represent the parties, is strictly between the Court and the party and no detailed enquiry is necessary, as long as the Court finds the Power of Attorney to be true and genuine. The learned Additional District Munsif has sought for 3 months time to dispose of the suit.
4. The learned District Munsif, Thanjavur is requested to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.164 of 2020, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. In view of the above, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
