O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.K. ILANTHIRAIYAN,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu alleging that her daughter, aged about 22 years is missing.

2. On perusal of the complaint it reveals that the petitioner's daughter, who is degree holder aged about 22 years, fell in love with the third respondent and eloped with him. She married the third respondent and also she has lodged a complaint before the respondent police seeking protection from her parents. After receipt of the complaint, the second respondent issued CSR No.936 of 2025 and conducted an enquiry. During enqiry, the detenu appeared before the second respondent police along with third respondent and made a statement that she is living with the third respondent and she does not want to go with her parents and on her own volition the detenu went along with the third respondent and

living with him. Thereafter, on 05.11.2025 the petitioner also appeared before the second respondent and made a statement that she wants to withdraw the complaint lodged by her.

3. From the above facts it is seen that there is no illegal detention involved in this case, hence, this habeas corpus petition is dismissed. If there is any dispute between the petitioner and the detenue, the detenue can very well approach the appropriate forum.
