O R D E R
The present writ petition has been filed seeking disbursement of the compensation amount for the land acquired in Survey No. 52/1 situated at Mudivaithanenthal Village, Thoothukudi District.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioners asserts that the land in Survey No. 52/1 belonged to the petitioner's grandfather, Sankaralingam Pillai, who purchased the land through a sale deed dated 26.12.1951 vide Document No. 2135/1951. The said land was acquired by the second respondent for the extension of the airport. The main grievance of the petitioners is that although the compensation amount has been disbursed to the other landowners, the same has not been disbursed to the petitioners.

The learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents, submits that the petitioners have not submitted the patta for the said land to enable the authorities to disburse the compensation amount. However, he submits that the petitioners' representation may be directed to be considered and disposed of on merits.
5. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation on merits and in accordance with law within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
