PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners passport renewal application in online application File No. TR2075760775325 dated 13.10.2025 within time frame as fixed by this Court. ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus for reissuance of the passport to the writ petitioner on the basis of his application dated 13.10.2025.

2. Learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.7 of 2019 on the file of the second respondent in which charge sheet has been laid in C.C.No.182 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Avudaiyar Kovil, Pudukottai District.

3. In view of the above said facts, the writ petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court concerned seeking the prior permission to go abroad. Based upon the order of the learned Judicial Magistrate concerned, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. In case, if any application is filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, the same shall be disposed of on merits in accordance with law within a period of four weeks. No costs.
