This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to rectify the extent mentioned in Patta No.400 relating to Survey No.52/8, Vilangudi Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, to an extent of 1.76 ares, in accordance with the petitioner's registered title deed bearing Document No.858 of 1992 dated 05.06.1992, and consequently to direct the respondents to issue a fresh and accurate Field Measurement Book (FMB) sketch with correct boundary measurements (four boundaries) corresponding to the full extent of 1.76 ares, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.11.2025.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Page No. 2 of 5
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner purchased the subject property, namely Flat No.15, measuring an extent of 1890 sq. ft. (1.76 Ares), vide Sale Deed dated 05.06.1992, registered as Document No.858 of 1992. Thereafter, the property was subdivided and assigned a new Survey No.52/8, and Patta No.400 for an extent of 1 Are was granted to the petitioner on 19.01.2016. However, the petitioner failed to notice the discrepancy with regard to the extent of the property mentioned in the title deed and the patta. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 14.11.2025.
4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.11.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and Page No. 3 of 5
disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and to any others who may be affected by such decision. There shall be no order as to costs.
