ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of writ of mandamus,forbearing the respondents police from preventing the members of the petitioners club playing the game of Rummy along with Carom Board, Tennis, Chess, Cricket, Badminton and Volley Ball at Madurai Meenatchi Recreation Club, Easanatham Village,Aravakuruchi Taluk, Karur District in the light of the order passed by the Principal Bench of this Court in W.P.No.5470 of 2022 dated 24.03.2022.

2. Heard the learned appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 2/5

The contention of the petitioner is that it is a registered Recreation Club and its members are jointly involved in various social activities and they play indoor games including Rummy for recreational purpose, without any stakes. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 05.11.2025. But so far the said representation is not considered. Hence, this petition.

4. Considering the facts of the case, this court is inclined to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner in the light of WP.No.8991 of 2025 and 18642 of 2021 and 5470 of 2022 and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
