ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to number the patta appeal dated 06.11.2025 filed by the petitioner and to complete the enquiry proceedings thereon within a time-bound period.

2. With the consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed a patta appeal dated 06.11.2025 before the first respondent, but the same has not yet been numbered or taken on file. It is further submitted that due to the inaction of the first respondent, the petitioner's appeal remains pending without progress, causing serious prejudice to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner seeks a direction to the first respondent to number the patta appeal and to

complete the enquiry proceedings thereon within a stipulated time in accordance with law.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the petitioner's patta appeal dated 06.11.2025 will be considered and disposed of as early as possible, provided the appeal papers are otherwise in order. It is further submitted that the authority will take appropriate action in accordance with law within a reasonable time.

6. Recording the aforesaid submission of the learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the first respondent to verify whether the petitioner's patta appeal dated 06.11.2025 is otherwise in order and, if so, to number the appeal and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law at the earliest, after affording due opportunity to all the parties concerned.
