Alleging that the order of this Court dated 03.01.2020 passed in W.P.(MD) No.627 of 2014 has not been complied with, the petitioner has come up before this Court with this Contempt Petition.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that the order of this Court dated 03.01.2020, passed in W.P.(MD) No.627 of 2014, has been duly complied with. He produced a copy of the order dated 13.02.2026 bearing reference No.2705/A1/TNSTC(TNV)/NGL/2026 before this Court. A copy of the same is also served on the learned counsel for the petitioner.
3. On receipt of the same, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the order dated 13.02.2026 it is stated that the petitioner is reinstated into service with continuity of service and with back wages and that in fact, no back wages have been paid. Page No. 2 of 4
4. Recording the said submission, this Contempt Petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to pay the back wages to the petitioner, as per the order dated 13.02.2026, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already paid, failing which the petitioner is at liberty to revive this Contempt Petition.
