PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to issue passport to the petitioner in Vide file No.MD7065866957325 dated 02.11.2025. ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the 1st respondent for issuance of passport to the writ petitioner on the basis of his application dated 02.11.2025.
2. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.29 of 2014 on the file of the Amathur Police Station, Virudhunagar District. A charge sheet has been laid in C.C.No. 521 of 2023 on the file of Learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar.
3. In view of the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court concerned seeking the prior permission of the Court to go abroad. Based upon the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.
4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
