ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to de-freeze the savings bank accounts (Account No.6305157169) maintained by the petitioner with the 4th respondent, Indian Bank, Usilampatti Branch, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 29.11.2025.

2. The brief facts of the case is that the petitioner's son was involved in a criminal case and he was convicted by the criminal Court, based on the confession. The learned counsel for the fourth respondent submitted that based on the direction 2/6

issued by the third respondent, the petitioner's account was freezed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that since the criminal case has ended in conviction and there is no bar in de-freezing the account of the petitioner. In this regard, already the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 29.11.2025. But the same was not considered so far. Hence, he prays for a direction to the third respondent to de-freeze the account of the petitioner in the fourth respondent bank.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent is directed to issue appropriate direction to the fourth respondent to de-freeze the account of the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
