Respondents (R4, R5 and R6 are suo motu impleaded vide order of this Court dated 05.12.2025) PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to forthwith disburse the compensation amount legally payable to the petitioner under Victim Compensation Scheme, 2013 as per the award passed in VCP.No.05 of 2018 dated 31.01.2025, within stipulated period of time as fixed by this Court. ORDER
This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to forthwith disburse the compensation amount legally payable to the petitioner under Victim Compensation Scheme, 2013 as per the award passed in VCP.No.05 of 2018 dated 31.01.2025, 2/6
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, would submit that already a proposal is sent by the Commissioner of Police, Madurai, through the Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu, Home, Prohibition and Excise Department, Chenni to the Director General of Police vide proceedings dated 29.05.2025.
3. This Court suo mottu impleads the following officials as respondents 4 to 6 in this writ petition:
"4.The Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Madeira. "
4. In view of the above submission, the Commissioner of Police, Madruai City as well as the Director General of Police shall process the 3/6
case and pay the compensation amount payable to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
