O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent to renew and re-issue the passport to the writ petitioner based upon his application dated 21.07.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Crime No.505 of 2019, on the file of the second respondent, which has culminated in filing of charge sheet in PRC No. 49 of 2022, on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Dindigul.

3. The petitioner herein has filed Crl.O.P(MD) No.16364 of 2022 before this Court to quash the charge sheet. Since the petition was dismissed by this Court on 18.03.2024, challenging the same, the petitioner has preferred Special Leave Appeal in (Crl) No.8195 of 2024. The Hon'ble Supreme Court has passed an order on 02.01.2025 granting an order of interim stay till the next date of hearing.

4. Considering the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. If any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the orders passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Dindigul, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
