O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Habeus Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to secure and produce the body or person of the detenue namely Priyadharshini, D/o.Murugesan, aged 18 years and produce her before this Court and set her at liberty.
2. The petitioner is the mother of the detenue aged about 18 years. While being so, the detenue was found missing from 03.11.2025 and the petitioner lodged complaint before the second respondent. The second respondent on receipt of said complaint registered First Information Report in Crime No.97 of 2025 under 'Woman Missing' on 08.11.2025. While pending investigation the detenue appeared before the third respondent and stated that she was aged about 19 years and she fell in love with one Abinesh and thereafter they got married before
Valividu Murugan Temple on 03.11.2025. Further she also asked for police protection from the hands of her own parents.
3. Inview of the same, this Habeus Corpus Petition is not maintainable and is liable to be dismissed.
4. Accordingly the Habeus Corpus Petition stands dismissed. The second respondent is directed to give adequate police protection to the detenue from the hands of the petitioner and her husband in accordance with law.
