Heard Mr.A.Venkatesh Kumar representing Mr.V.Rajiv Rufus for Civil Revision Petitioner.

2. The Civil Revision Petitioner is the landlord. He has filed R.L.T.O.P.No.1 of 2023 on the file of the learned Rent Tribunal/District Munsif Court, Radhapuram, invoking Section 1/4

21(2)(h) of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017 (TN Act 42 of 2017). The case was taken on file as R.L.T.O.P. No. 1 of 2023. Subsequently, the proceedings were transferred to the newly constituted Court at Thisayanvilai.

3. When the matter came up on 10.04.2026, Mr. Rajiv Rufus reported that the case had not yet been numbered. As no direction can be issued in respect of an unnumbered R.L.T.O.P., I listed the matter today to enable Mr. Rajiv Rufus to furnish the number. When the matter was taken up today, Mr. Venkatesh Kumar, representing Mr. Rajiv Rufus, submitted that the R.L.T.O.P. has now been numbered as R.L.T.O.P. No. 2 of 2026 by the learned District Munsif at Thisayanvilai.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner is a senior citizen aged about 76 years, and since R.L.T.O.P. is a summary proceeding, the learned District Munsif at Thisayanvilai is requested to dispose of the proceedings within a period of five months from the date on which summons in R.L.T.O.P. No. 2 of 2026 is served on the respondenttenant. The period of May 2026 will obviously stand excluded. 2/4

5. In view of the above, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
