ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to issue a direction directing the withdrawal of the case in Crime No.14/2025 pending on the file of 2nd respondent and entrust the same to 3rd respondent for investigation of the case by a competent officer and file a final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the case pertains to job racketing and defrauding an amount to the tune of Rs.56,00,000/ (Rupees Fifty Six Lakhs only) from the victims by telling them that they would be arranged for a job in the railways. However, during the investigation, the 2nd respondent had adopted certain tactics which had seriously affected the proper investigation of the case.

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that it is the allegation of the petitioner, and the investigation is promptly being done by the 2nd respondent.

4. Heard the learned counsels on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

Considering the fact that 11 victims have lost their money, this Court is inclined to direct the Commissioner of Police, Trichy City, Trichy / 1st respondent to monitor the ongoing investigation of the 2nd respondent with strict prudence, and the 2nd respondent is directed to get the directions from time to time every week from the 1st respondent for the proper conduct of the investigation.
