Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents No.1 to 3 to conduct enquiry and remove the irrelevant entry made in the Encumbrance Certificate in respect of the petitioner properties in Survey No.118/2 and 119/2A2 in 44 Kallanai Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District on file of the Respondent No.3 within the time period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner claims that he is having properties in Survey Nos. 118/2, 119/2A2 in Kallanai, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, to an extent of 1.26 acres. He is said to have purchased the said properties from one Boominathan, by way of a registered document No.1954/1991 dated 05.08.1991. Now, the petitioner, with a grievance that in the encumbrance certificate for his properties, a wrong entry has been reflected as if a mortgage deed has been registered in Document No. 705/2001 on 27.08.2001, has approached this Court. 2/5
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the said mortgage deed is pertaining to Survey No.119 of Mattaparai Village. However, it has been wrongly reflected in the petitioner's properties in Survey Nos.118/2, 119/2A2 in Kallanai, Vadipatti Taluk,

Considering the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to conduct an enquiry with regard to the same and if any wrong entry has been made in the petitioner's properties, the same shall be corrected, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
