ORDER

The above writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to issue passport to the petitioner by considering his passport application in Application No.TR1075500779725 dated 18.08.2025. "

The learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner was implicated in a criminal case in Crime No.1031 of 2025 on the file of the Adirampattinam Police Station for the offences under Section 294(b), 342, 307 of IPC.

3. According to him, charge sheet has been laid on 20.02.2021 before the learned Judicial Magistrate Pattukottai in PRC.No.20 of 2024, so far it has not been committed.

4. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned Trial Court seeking permission to go abroad. In case, if such application is filed, concerned Trial Judge is directed to dispose of the same within a period of four weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the Trial Court, the 1st respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

5. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
