ORDER

This petition is filed seeking to quash the impugned Charge Sheet in C.C.No.963 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu, which was filed for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 352 of IPC.

2. The gist of the allegations in the final report is that on 03.03.2015, at about 07.30 pm., the defacto complainant came to his native place to attend the Kaliamman Temple Festival. On the same day, at about 10.00 p.m., due to property dispute, the petitioner and other accused persons abused him in filthy language and also assaulted him with their bare hands and caused simple injury and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

The learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the defacto complainant/the second respondent would submit that they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. In this regard, the second respondent filed an affidavit dated 30.11.2025.

4. The petitioner and the second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.N.S.Premraj, HC-375, Pappanadu Police Station, Thanjavur Distric. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of allegation and the relationship between the parties, this Court in view of the fact that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned Charge Sheet in C.C.No.963 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu, is hereby quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The affidavit of the second respondent dated 30.11.2025 shall form part and parcel of the 3/6

order. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
