ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.11.2025 and to take appropriate action.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the complaint was taken on file and an enquiry was conducted. Initially, it was registered as a 'woman missing' case. Subsequently, the woman appeared and expressed that she had voluntarily left the matrimonial home and was living with another person. Therefore, the petitioner's representation was considered.

But, the petitioner submitted that, while considering the earlier complaint, the concerned police officer, namely Ms.Roobini, SubInspector of Police, Velliyanai Police Station, Karur District, allegedly used filthy language and abused the petitioner and the husband of the missing woman, for which they had preferred a separate complaint. The said complaint was not considered at all.

4. Therefore, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the said allegation levelled against the said officer, conduct an enquiry, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
