ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records on the file of the first respondent (Home Police-XIX Department) in G.O.(4D).No.144 dated 31.07.2025, in respect of the Schedule (II) details of immovable properties at Serial Numbers 1 to 5, and to quash the same.
2.The prayer in this Writ Petition is to remove the attachment order passed against the petitioners' property. As the matter is pending before the TANPID Court, the Writ Petition cannot be entertained. Moreover, the TANPID Court is the appropriate authority to ascertain whether the property was acquired from the proceeds of criminal activities as alleged. 2/4
The petitioners have an efficacious remedy before the TANPID Court; accordingly, the present Writ Petition is dismissed, with liberty granted to the petitioners to approach the appropriate TANPID Court.
3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
