This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent herein to conduct enquiry and dispose of the appeal dated 21.07.2025 filed by the petitioner in Na.Ka.No.6353/2025/A1 proceedings based on the subsequent representation dated 10.11.2025 submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983 within a reasonable time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner has submitted an appeal before the 1st respondent for cancelling the mutation of patta in S.No.715. The 1st respondent directed the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry and file a report. However, since no action was taken, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate submits that the appeal would be disposed of within a reasonable time.

5. Considering the submissions made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
