ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the FIR in Crime No.903 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent police, charged for the offence under Section 303(2) of BNS, 2023.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has stolen the defacto complainant's mobile phone, for which the aforesaid case in Crime No.903 of 2025 has been registered against the petitioner.

3. Now, the petitioner and the defacto complainant / 2nd respondent have amicably settled the dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 15.12.2025.

4. The petitioners, namely, Arunkumar, (Aadhaar No.2009 5825 1514), and the second respondent, namely, Velmurugan (Aadhaar No.9426 7035 9508) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Ms.A.Jayalakshmi, Woman Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Thallakulam Police Station, Madurai. Both the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. In view of the compromise entered into between the parties and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIR. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.903 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent police is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 15.12.2025 shall form part of this order. 16.12.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Sm TO:-
