O R D E R

This petitioner is working as Junior Assistant in Nagercoil Corporation, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District/ the second respondent herein. He is the second senior most in the cadre of Junior Assistant eligible to be promoted as Assistant. The respondent Corporation has also drawn a Panel for the promotion of Assistants on 25.09.2025, calling for objections, if any on the Panel. The time stipulated for submission of objections is 15 days. Though the stipulated period has already been over, the respondent has not proceeded further with the panel and therefore, this petitioner is not in a position to get the promotion due to him. Hence, he has approached this Court by way of this writ petition. 2/5

2.Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent. Mr.F.Deepak, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the second respondent and submits that the panel for Assistants has already been prepared and also published, inviting objections if any. The stipulated time is over and therefore they have to draw the final list and has to pass necessary orders promoting the individuals. According to the learned standing counsel, the entire process would be completed within a period of one month.

3.Recording the aforesaid submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. 09.12.2025 NCC: Yes/No Index:Yes/No vrn 3/5
