ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the name of the petitioner, namely, Sentamil Vasan, S/o. Thangamani, from History Sheet No.07/2022 maintained on the file of the third respondent and consequently to direct the respondents to pay compensation for the mental agony and humiliation suffered by the petitioner and his family members on account of the aforesaid History Sheet opened in the petitioner's name.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that there are 11 previous cases against the petitioner.

3. Per contra, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the previous cases were registered only up to the year 2022 and that no case has been registered thereafter.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to forward the petitioner's representation dated 14.11.2025 to the second respondent. The second respondent shall consider the petitioner's claim and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
