O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.] This public interest litigation is filed by the petitioner challenging the vires of the proceedings issued by the District Collector, Madurai District, in exercise of his power under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973), dated 03.12.2025.
2. Learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 & 6 produced a copy of the order passed by the learned Single Judge in Cont.P.(MD) No.3594 of 2025, dated 04.12.2025, wherein, the learned Single Judge has incidentally gone into the vires of the impugned proceedings and has made an observation that the prohibitory order passed by the District Collector overreaches the order passed by this Court and hence, it stands quashed, which means, the prohibitory order issued by the District Collector is quashed and nothing remains.
3. In view of the said fact, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
